Bailey Education Group is excited to welcome Tanisha Washington and Dr. Andy Parker as partners and co-owners of Bailey Education Group.
Tanisha and Andy are no strangers to Bailey or to the education community, spreading their passion for improving the lives of all children, as well as those teachers and leaders who serve them. They bring a wealth of experience to the operations and management of our company and are integral parts of our team. Their leadership and courage over the past several years has been paramount to Bailey’s success and will be critical to our future growth.
Tanisha, Vice President of Educational Services and Mississippi State Director, is a veteran educator with over 21 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech/Language Pathology and Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from William Carey University. She is currently working on her doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She has served as an Academic Curriculum Coach, Curriculum Coordinator, Interventionist, School Test Coordinator, LSC Chairperson, Case Manager, and classroom teacher. In her role at Bailey, Tanisha leads all instructional support services and manages the work and operations in Mississippi. Tanisha has been with Bailey for nine years and has worked to impact the lives of hundreds of educators and scholars in Mississippi and beyond.
Andy, Vice President of Operations and Support and Louisiana State Director, is a native of Neshoba County, Mississippi, and a 34-year career educator serving as a high school English teacher and a school and district leader along the MS Gulf Coast. He has worked as a leadership and data coach with the national non-profit, The Achievement Network and led a group of charter schools in New Orleans. Andy is in his fourth year at Bailey and has led the expansion to Louisiana. He also leads marketing and operations for the company and serves as a leadership coach. He recently published his international best-selling book, Building Brilliant Schools: What GREAT Leaders Do Differently and the companion workbook, 50 Tools for Building Brilliant Schools: A Workbook for School Leaders to Transform Culture and Performance. He uses these tools with leaders and their teams to transform school culture and student achievement.
