We have exciting news! Instructional Coaches Christie Finley and Dr. Vickie Williams were named Project Managers for Bailey Education Group! Christie will serve as a project manager for our partner districts in Alabama, and Dr. Williams will serve as project manager for our partner districts in Florida. We cannot wait to see what these two achieve in their roles!
Christie Finley named Alabama Project Manager.
Christie Finley is a veteran educator with more than 30 years of experience in public education. Mrs. Finley’s focus as an educator has always been to serve students, families, and staff members. At the heart of this focus is the emphasis on collaboration and innovation that empowers all students to become lifelong learners.
Mrs. Finley has served in many capacities during her career including superintendent, deputy superintendent, director of secondary programs, principal, teacher, and counselor. She earned her undergraduate degree from Auburn University, master’s degree in school counseling from Alabama A&M University, and educational leadership degree from the University of South Alabama.
Mrs. Finley received the 2020 Legislative Engagement Award for her collaborative efforts and partnerships with state legislators. She was named the Alabama SSA District 9 Superintendent of the Year in 2021. Additionally, she was recognized by the Women’s Economic Development Council as a Women Honoring Women honoree in 2021. She served on the board of directors for the Alabama State Superintendents Association and Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS). She is also a member of the Alabama International Women's Forum, Rotary Club, Women’s Philanthropy Society, Junior Leage of Huntsville, and Huntsville Committee of 100.
She is married to Kirk, and they have two sons. Although retired, Ms. Finley is still an advocate for education and student success.
Dr. Vickie Williams named Florida Project Manager.
Dr. Vickie Williams has been with Bailey Education Group since December 2021. She has served as a Mathematics Instructional Coach, Leadership Coach, and English Learner Instructional Coach for Bailey Education Group supporting schools in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
Prior to working with BEG, Dr. Williams served as a school interventionist, Math Coach, Director of Elementary Curriculum, Instructional Specialist and Teacher in The School District of Manatee County in Bradenton, Florida. She also taught Math, Science and Reading at the elementary and middle school levels.
She retired after 25 years from Harrison County School District in Gulfport, Mississippi as an Elementary School Principal. During her tenure in Harrison County, Dr. Williams was an advocate for elementary math and provided district training in math instruction and was awarded Teacher of the Year. Dr. Williams was an Adjunct Professor at William Carey University in Gulfport teaching various courses, including Elementary Math Methods from 2002 to 2013. She also attended trainings at the Principal’s Institute at Harvard University.
Dr. Williams is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. She began her teaching career in Louisiana and has been certified in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida.
