We are excited to announce that Dr. Elisabeth Davis has been named Alabama Project Manager for Bailey Education Group!
Throughout her education career, Elisabeth has worked in schools and districts spanning urban, rural, and suburban cities in Alabama and across the Southeast. Not only has this allowed her to work alongside different educators, subpopulations and in different areas, but it has also afforded her the opportunity to serve in different capacities at both the school and district level. She started as a middle school English teacher and athletic coach, and within 4 years she was serving in her first leadership position as a middle school assistant principal. Her other leadership experiences included a district-level secondary program area specialist, K-12 school improvement specialist, an assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, a superintendent, and the Assistant State Superintendent for Student Learning for the Alabama State Department of Education during her last 4 years prior to retirement. Following retirement in 2022, she has been working at Faulkner University with STEM Series and Internships coordination and as a Bailey Education leadership coach.
Elisabeth has a son who will be a freshman and a daughter beginning her junior year, both in high school, so any spare time is typically spent in schools supporting them in extracurricular activities and sporting events. Because of her direct connection to education, she is passionate about supporting educators to value lifelong learning through a growth mindset. She believes all students must be exposed to viable learning experiences in engaging environments that require concrete end-products with real-world meaning rather than simply making good grades. Bailey's mission is to improve the lives of all children, and Elisabeth is elated to be a part of this in her new position as an Alabama Project Manager. She is dedicated to equipping both leaders and teachers with the evidence-based skills, knowledge, and strategies to transform teaching and learning experiences for everyone.
