Announcement of Gwen King's full-time role as BEG's EL Content Leader, Project Manager, and Coach.


Bailey Education is excited to announce that Gwen King, English Learner Lead Instructional Coach will be assuming the full-time role as English Learner Content Leader, EL Project Manager, and Instructional Coach. Her expertise in instructional and operational strategies supporting English Learners, as well as her warm, enthusiastic personality working with teachers and leaders, makes her a favorite among the Bailey team and our partner schools.

Gwen is a Mississippi native, and she spent her elementary and junior high years in Chile, where she became fluent in Spanish. She has more than 20 years of experience in education. She began her career, in 1998, as a high school Spanish teacher. Since then, Gwen has gone on to work as an EL coordinator in the Jones County District where she remained for 14 years. In 2017-2018, she worked in the Mississippi Department of Education where she served as the English Learner/Migrant/Immigrant Coordinator. In October 2018, she began her role with Bailey Education Group as an English Learner Lead Instructional Coach.


Gwen holds her bachelor’s degree in Spanish from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. She has a master’s in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Gwen speaks about her love for her career. She says, “I have a passion in seeing students succeed. Therefore, I plan to use my life ensuring I can do all possible in helping a student achieve their goals.” This passion she has for EL work has led her in pursuing her doctorate degree in Education.


We are so excited for what Gwen will bring to her new role with Bailey Education Group to keep improving the lives of all children.
